The Inspecteur D Story

Back in 2008, André Dumont purchased a century-old apartment building in Montreal. The renovation work sparked a new passion. He completed a home inspection college program and launched his new career by working alongside some of Montreal’s best inspectors.

On top of inspections, André writes about real estate and home improvement in Québec Habitation and RueMasson.com. He is the author of a weekly column in La Presse+ called Monsieur L’inspecteur.

Born in Ontario, André is fully bilingual. Inspecteur D, his inspection service, raises the bar of home inspection quality in the Montreal area.
